While the Chinese nation has won respect from all over the world, we should also see that Chinese economic development has revealed two major trends at the same time: firstly, China becomes more and more international, which is irreversible; secondly, it’s key for development in future years will be to promote economic transition based on the dynamics of science and technology. Chinese development not only needs excellent talents cultivated by top domestic universities such as Peking University, but also needs those with an international view cultivated by top foreign universities. We encourage you outstanding students to go from China and actively participate in international competition, to learn about western culture, to study advanced science and technology, to broadcast the excellent culture of the Chinese nation and to build yourself as a leading person adaptable to the complicated environment of competition with a diligent international outlook.
