To succeed in the Information Age students require many different skills than were taught in the Industrial Age. As science and technology progress so must one’s ability to communicate. Communication in today’s global market takes research and analysis, an ability to discern, to understand vested interests and the consequences of actions. It takes language skills and an ability to deliver a comprehensive message. Cross-cultural communication, an ability to experience and know other cultures, assists individuals in getting their messages understood. AOSA provides strategic communication training and support for students to clearly focus on becoming better communicators to the benefit of themselves, families, employers, their country, and the world. This is why I am pleased to join the AOSA team and welcome the interaction with young leaders of tomorrow.
